Radamel Falcao e quella scellerata scelta monegasca

Falcao è un giocatore fantastico, incredibile. Anni fa ho stilato il suo profilo ed in estate l'ho aspramente criticato per la sua scelta di sposare la ricca causa del Monaco rispetto ad un top team europeo. Stando all'articolo di Bleachereport che riporto oggi, però, Falcao potrebbe tornare ad essere nei piani di Chelsea e United. Sarà capace di dire nuovamente no?

Radamel Falcao called the Premier League "one of the most important leagues in the world" when he spoke to Sky Sports' Gary Cotterill in the wake of Colombia's 2-0 friendly win over Belgium on Thursday.

The Monaco superstar opened the scoring against Marc Wilmots' side in Brussels as Jose Mourinho looked on from the stands, undoubtedly impressed by a player continuously linked with a move to both Chelsea and Manchester United, per Jack Wilson of the Daily Star.
Of course, there was also the small matter of Mourinho having four Chelsea players to monitor in the Belgian squad, but eyes will inevitably turn to what the Portuguese's appearance means in terms of his hunt for a new, world-class striker.

Asked what he thought of Mourinho's presence, Falcao replied, per Cotterrill's report:
He came here to see good football, played by good players and to see a good spectacle.
The Premier League is one of the most important in the world but I am playing well and enjoying Monaco.

The South American has scored nine goals in 12 Ligue 1 appearances for Monaco this season but, as Cotterill alleges, could be missing the competition of Champions League football, although his club are in good shape to qualify for next season's iteration.

After a summer that saw Gareth Bale move to Real Madrid for a fee in the region of £85 million, another blockbuster move would be required of Falcao were to move again in 2014, considering the fee Monaco paid is believed to be around the £50 million mark, per BBC Sport.
After the match, Mourinho remained nonplussed about the evening's entertainment and merely remarked: "For a friendly, it was a very good game."

Eden Hazard, Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku all played a role in the hosts' 2-0 loss while Thibaut Courtois was an unused substitute as Liverpool's Simon Mignolet was offered his chance in goal.
The speculation linking the Blues with another star striker comes as no surprise considering Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto'o and Demba Ba have scored just three Premier League goals in a combined 18 appearances this term.
Mourinho's search goes on for a player who can lead his line with the same confidence that Didier Drogba once did. Is there a chance that Monaco's marvel is the figure in that frame?
